Message from Scott Harris, Vice-President and Program Chair. LFLTA:
The LFLTA Conference will take place March 2 and 3, 2012, in Lafayette, Louisiana at the Crowne Plaza Airport. This year’s keynote speaker and workshop leader is ACTFL’s 2010 Teacher of the Year, Lisa Lilley.
Before the conference, LFLTA along with the Louisiana State Department of Education will be offering a free pre-conference workshop to any interested foreign language teachers the morning of March 2, 2012, at the site of this year’s annual conference from 10:00 to 12:00. This two-hour workshop, being lead by Debbie Fordham from the Teacher Preparation & Certification Program at Tulane University, is entitledBehavior Management as Teaching and Learning. Pre-registration for this workshop is required and may be done via CourseWhere. Spots for the pre-conference workshop are being limited to the first forty who register.
